With roots that began in high school Theater, acting and technical theater was the first opportunity for Brett to unleash his creative spirit. By the time he had finished high school he had won several awards for acting, among them “Best Actor” in 1985. He had already chosen a direction toward movie making, which is a life long dream for him. His studies took him on to gain his degree video production, where he quickly entered the workforce of Corporate Audio Visual, where he is still today very active. Brett now uses his creative talents, directing and producing, to help shape the future of Digital Cinema, working with clients such as DHL, Pfizer, Henkel, Sr. Frogs (Grupo Anderson), Vessel World Media, The Golf Channel, HBO, and in general: Corporate Videos, Commercials, TV, and Short films. |
His career began in 1986 with Televisa, one of the largest television networks in Mexico, as a cameraman. There he sharpened his skills by working on various projects including, Music Video clips with artists such as Luis Miguel and Ricardo Montaner, and Special promotional video spots for companies such as Coca Cola, Bacardi, Casa Domecq. Mostly focused on EFP (Electronic Field Production), Oscar Garza also shot many prerecorded special spots for live events like the “Miss Mexico Pageant”, “Valores Juveniles”, and Artistic Tours throughout the Mexican Republic. Now residing in Cancún Mexico, he has joined the Digital Cinema team as lead Director of Photography and is incorporated into the partnership as an owner. He continues to expand his knowledge and experience with short films, Commercials, TV, and Documentaries. |
He started on 1992 in the Audiovisual Field for a privately owned Company. His training on video editing and Post Production in Mexico City gave him the tools to start his first company, in 98 he move to Cancun and founded Asigna with a friend. His talents soon gained him a position in the video department for On Cue Productions. In constant motion and unstoppable energy; he also found time to teach classes of post-production and editing for a University in Cancun. Evolution is his motto and he believes in constant training. Some clients that he has worked with in the past are: MTV, NBC, Quickfire productions, Nextel, Sky, Adidas, Warner Cable, Direct TV and many more. |
